Spring energized seals combine a precision engineered polymer jacket with a metallic spring energizer to provide reliable sealing performance in demanding applications. The spring maintains consistent contact between the sealing surface and hardware, while the polymer jacket provides low friction, chemical resistance and application specific performance.
Ultra Seal manufactures spring energized seal configurations for reciprocating, rotary, static and axial sealing applications. Seal profiles, jacket materials and spring designs can be selected to accommodate application requirements including pressure, temperature, speed, media and hardware configuration.
The Ultra Seal Series 700 line of spring energized PTFE seals features a unique cantilever spring design (U or V). This innovative combination of seal profiles and spring technology was crafted for a variety of applications that require an ideal balance between maximum sealing capability and low friction operation, similar to the advancements found in the Ultra Seal Series 800.

Series 700 / 700E
The Ultra Seal Series 700 is a standard profile designed for general applications with rounded sealing lips for low to medium pressure and/or speed. For more demanding conditions, the Series 700E features an extended heel for higher pressure and temperature applications.
Series 701 / 701E
The Ultra Seal Series 701 is a scraper profile designed for wiping and scraping applications. Its scraper ID is suited for handling viscous media and abrasive particles. The Series 701E incorporates an extended heel for higher pressure and temperature applications.
Series 702 / 702E
Designed for piston sealing applications, the Ultra Seal Series 702 features a wiper on the seal OD. The Series 702E incorporates an extended heel for higher pressure and temperature applications.
Series 703 / 704
The Ultra Seal Series 703 is a rotary seal profile similar to the Series 700 and incorporates a flange that allows the seal to be clamped against the housing to prevent rotation with the shaft. The Series 704 combines a scraper profile similar to the Series 701 with a flange for slow rotary service.
Series 705 / 706
The Ultra Seal Series 705 is an inside pressure face seal designed for axial sealing applications and static or very slow dynamic service. The Series 706 is an outside pressure face seal designed for similar static and very slow dynamic applications.
The Ultra Seal Series 800 line of radial and axial seals features a helical wound ribbon spring design. This combination of seal profiles and heavy load spring technology provides maximum sealing capability for static and very slow dynamic applications. Series 800 seals are well suited for demanding conditions including low temperature service, gases, and low vacuum applications.

Series 800 / 800E
The Ultra Seal Series 800 is a standard profile designed for general applications with rounded sealing lips for optimum performance at low to medium pressures and/or speeds. The Series 800E incorporates an extended heel for higher pressure and temperature applications.
Series 801 / 801E
The Ultra Seal Series 801 is a scraper profile designed for wiping and scraping applications. Its scraper ID is ideal for service involving viscous media and abrasive particles. The Series 801E incorporates an extended heel for higher pressure and temperature applications.
Series 802 / 802E
Designed for piston sealing applications, the Ultra Seal Series 802 is a standard wiper seal profile featuring a wiper on the seal OD. The Series 802E incorporates an extended heel for higher pressure and temperature applications.
Series 803 / 804
The Ultra Seal Series 803 is a rotary seal profile similar to the Series 700 and incorporates a flange that allows the seal to be clamped against the housing to prevent rotation with the shaft. The Series 804 combines a scraper profile similar to the Series 701 with a flange that allows the seal to be clamped against the housing to prevent seal rotation. Series 804 is intended for slow rotary service only.
Series 805 / 806
The Ultra Seal Series 805 is an inside pressure face seal designed for axial sealing applications and static or very slow dynamic service. The Series 806 is an outside pressure face seal designed for similar axial sealing applications and static or very slow dynamic service.

Spring energized seal performance depends on selecting the right jacket material for the application. Temperature, pressure, media, speed, friction, and wear can all influence material selection.
