SPRING ENERGIZED PTFE SEALS

Assortment of colorful sealing rings and gaskets.

Spring Energized Seals

The Ultra Seal Series 700 line of spring energized PTFE seals features a unique cantilever spring design (U or V). This innovative combination of seal profiles and spring technology was crafted for a variety of applications that require an ideal balance between maximum sealing capability and low friction operation, similar to the advancements found in the Ultra Seal Series 800.

DESCRIPTION

Ultra Seal Series 700 – This standard profile is designed for general applications with rounded sealing lips, ensuring optimum performance in low to medium pressure and/or speeds. For demanding conditions, the Ultra Seal Series 700E features an extended heel, making it suitable for use in higher pressures and temperatures.

The Ultra Seal Series 701 provides a standard profile ideal for wiping and scraping applications, with its scraper ID effectively handling viscous media and abrasive particles. For enhanced durability, the Series 701E is a wiper seal with an extended heel that performs well under higher pressures and temperatures.

Designed specifically for piston sealing applications, the Ultra Seal Series 702 features a standard wiper seal profile with a wiper on the seal OD. For extreme conditions, the Series 702E includes a wiper piston seal with an extended heel tailored for higher pressures and temperatures.

The Ultra Seal Series 703 is a standard rotary seal profile that resembles Series 700 but comes equipped with a flange to prevent seal rotation with the shaft by allowing clamping against the housing. The Series 704 is a scraper profile rotary seal similar to 701, designed for slow rotary service, and includes a flange for secure clamping.

For axial sealing applications, the Ultra Seal Series 705 serves as an inside pressure face seal, suitable for static and very slow dynamic service. Meanwhile, the Series 706 functions as an outside pressure face seal, also intended for static and very slow dynamic service.
